Here is a newly built Jager Rifle assembled by Rick Baker, Colonial Rifle Smith. It is completely assembled in the white, fully functional and now ready for your choices of final wood and metal finish.
The stock is crafted from M4 Curley Sugar Maple and has vivid curl throughout. It will be beautiful complement to the cast engraved brass trim, copied from
originals imported from German jaeger rifles from the early 1700’s. Inlet for the 38” Colerain ‘C’ Weight .45 cal. Barrel.
The lock is the R.E. Davis Continental Flintlock lock featuring Germanic 1750-1770 styling, with rain resistant frizzen flange and decorative spring internally mounted. This finely made lock has improved lock geometry, raised and polished bearing surfaces on the tumbler and sear make for less friction and faster lock times. They are cast, assembled, tempered and tuned here in the USA and parts and service is easily available and guaranteed.
The trigger is a double set trigger with pull adjustment. It is housed in a German styled Jager type trigger guard and butt plate in Brass. The rest of the Furniture is in Brass as well. The butt plate is in the Germanic style with a gentle curve and smooth top for ease of handling and comfortable shooting.
