The French C model was the first model trade gun introduced in Canada circa 1680-1730.
It was rather ornate, trimmed in brass with matching Baroque engraving and matching floral finials
on both the butt plate a trigger guard and a pierced side plate and thumb piece.
This Type ‘C’ French Fowling Gun was built by Rick Baker, ColonialRifleSmith
“We got these parts from a fella who thought he was going to sit in front of the TV and snap it together.
Long story short, he bought a Kibler kit thinking the same thing.
I ended up putting it together for him.” Rick Baker

The stock has 2 flaws as seen in the next 2 pics. A worm inclusion behind the tang and a Divit on the heal about 1/8th-inch deep.
The worm holes may be filled with a round toothpick or colored epoxy to match your final stain and finish.
Builders have their preferred way to repair things, so I let them be. This is a beautiful fusil when finished.
Now you get to do the fun stuff!
You may wish to add a sling to this long gun and this would be the perfect spot for a sling button.
Due to these imperfections, this outstanding musket is being sold for the discounted price of
