We get a lot of calls for small caliber squirrel guns so we offer this one in 36 cal and styled it as a Pennsylvania Rupp for something a little different.

32 cal barrels are getting hard to find so this uses a 38” A weight Rice Barrel in 36 caliber. It is inlet to a CM –3 curly maple stock shaped in an early Rupp style. The gently curved sloping underbelly and slight Roman nose give this style distinctive great looks that set it apart from the more common Lancaster or Southern guns.

This one is trimmed in brass in the nicely curved Rupp style. These parts can be finished in a matt finish or darkened and antiqued with ‘Brass Black’ solution so there are no shiny finishes to scare the pesky little critters away.

The Rupp brass patch box lends an early Penn touch and this one has a Rupp signature Liberty head inlay in German silver inlet on the fore end to hide a blemish in the curly maple and to finish things off. There is another blemish at the very end of the nose of this stock, so we included a brass nose cap to cover it and add a nice finishing touch. You will file most of this off to fit, so we have added a brass nose cap for you.

The chosen lock is an L&R Durs Egg finely detailed flint lock, tripped by an L&R adjustable double set trigger. It fires into a drilled and coned vent in the perfect sunrise position for quick ignition and improved accuracy.
