Here is another beautiful gun recently finished by Bernard Riendeau.
Bernard has built several guns for us and each one is better than the last. His talents in carving, and now wire inlay work, are outstanding, as you can see. We have combined his talents along with castings copied from an original Carslbad Jaeger rifle from the Ron Scott Collection. These are beautifully detailed, chisel engraved pieces, that are a work of art in themselves. Even the patch box lid is cast with the same matched engraving. When combined with Bernard’s outstanding Rococo relief carving and extensive wire inlay work, the result is a truly one-of-a-kind rifle.
We’ve used all the best in parts for this fine piece: American black walnut stock, holding a polished steel Colerain 62 cal. swamped jaeger barrel with radius grooved rifling and signed by the artist. The sights are early Jaeger as well.
The beautifully carved and wire inlaid walnut stock even comes equipped with a sling swivel & button for comfortable carry.
Even the matching chisel engraved side plate is held by index matching and hand engraved lock bolts.
Notice the continued carving around the tang and lock area and the detailed chisel engraved brass Jaeger thumb piece.
Even the Muzzle receives the same attention to detail with engraved nose cap, custom ram rod tip and brass Jaeger sight.
The chosen lock is the RE Davis Jaeger flint lock with a polished brass frame and frizzen pan and polished steel parts. these are used in conjunction with the #4 adjustable double set triggers, firing into a stainless-steel vent liner in the sunrise position for sure fire ignition every time. Even the frizzen spring is finely detailed. The wood in the jaws allows your practice.
Here’s your chance to get in on the ground floor collection of an up and coming artist.
We’re proud to be able to offer you this opportunity at a modest….
