RB-Civil War Era Chunk Gun/Target Rifle, .36 cal.

This is an excellent example of a Civil War-era percussion rifle. The particulars are;

The barrel is a 40-inch-long, .36-caliber, octagon barrel, 15/19ths across the flats. The bore shows wear and minor pitting with good lands and grooves. Very shootable.

Rebuilt the lock. The lock retains all its original parts and functions perfectly. The lock does not have a half cock. It was originally built this way.

The stock is Old-Growth Curly Sugar Maple, coated with varnish. The stock is in excellent condition for its age. It has a few minor repairs, but the stock is solid.

The rifle features double-set triggers set for easy touch-off. Set the rear trigger, cock the hammer, then fire the front trigger.

The furniture is brass.

The rear sight has a fine-grained adjustment for small elevation changes during target shooting.

The length of pull is 13 inches from the front trigger.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own an outstanding piece of American History.
