This is an excellent rifle built by noted contemporary gunmaker, ColonilRifleSmith. The rifle features a 44″ .50 cal. Colerain swamped barrel, 1:66 twist. Ideal for round ball accuracy.
The stock is a beautiful M3 Curly Maple with a nice grain pattern, stained to an antique reddish-brown with golden highlights that glow in the sunlight.
The lock is an L&R Classic Lock. The L&R Locks are known for their reliability and durability.
The butt features a wooden patch box decorated with an incised Native American Motif.
The barrel is pinned with 4 underliggs and pins, and the fore stock is thin and graceful.
Under the barrel is a striped ramrod and 3 thimbles, 2 forward and 1 entry thimble.
The furniture is antiqued brass with excellent metal-to-wood fit.
Attached to the cheek is a hand-made vent pick and holder.
The rifle uses a single trigger, set for easy touchoff.
The length of pull is 14″. Perfect for today’s average shooter.
