RTF-343 Appalachian Barn Gun

$1,899

We picked up this newly made Barn Gun at Jack Garners booth at the NMLRA Nationals in Friendship IN.

It is completely assembled in the white and fully functional, ready for your choices of final finish. Jack cuts and shapes all of his stocks by hand.

The hand shaped stock is in CM-3 curly maple with 75% curl to showing that will be very interesting when finally stained and finished. This is a true Barn Gun. The same barn posts beetles that bored holes and made tracks in the barn timbers got into this gun stock too. You’ll see worm tracks in several places on this gun for a real interesting authentic look.

The 42″ octagon to round barrel is in 20 ga. so it has a light weight, and a great balance.

The lock is the L&R Queen Anne flint featuring Germanic 1750-1770 styling, with rain resistant frizzen flange, roller frizzen, decorative spring internally mounted. This finely made lock has improved lock geometry, raised and polished bearing surfaces on the tumbler and sear make for less friction and faster lock times. They are made here in the USA and parts and service is easily available.

The 42″ octagon to round barrel is in 20 ga., so it has light weight and great balance. The trigger is a single high pinned and plated one with and easy release. It is housed in an English styled Fowler type trigger guard in steel. The rest of the trim is in steel as well. It even has an authentic Friendship patina to help start your browning process. The butt plat is in rifle style with a gentle curve and smooth top for ease of handling and comfortable shooting.

We’re proud to offer you this opportunity to finish a completely assembled RTF smoothbore just the way you want.
